You'll have to excuse Lee, he's not had his usual medication today

Behold, the day of reckoning has come! Well, not that drastic, but still some change. I've read some complaints here and there about the AWring having too many suspended sites in the listing. Since I just recently found out that I actually had the rights to do something about it, I did. I found a pair of extra large axes and chopped away all the suspended sites. They are no more. If you're a webmaster and your site was removed as an error, you'll simply have to re-apply. All of the sites had a reason to not be here, most of them offline, not linking back or similar. So, away is CSOL, Home of The Underdogs, Classic Online Gaming and many more.
The next step is to take a look at those sites who haven't updated in many, many years. Some have last updates dating back to 2004 - 5 years ago! I guess it goes without saying, but updating at least once or twice a year isn't too much to ask. So be warned.
Anyways, a nice set of updates for this weekend. Here's what you can expect:
Niklas and his C:DOS Abandonware say they've updated something, but as far as I can see their recent update is only back at 3rd of March. "Back then" they updated with reviews for Trinity and Mind Mirror.
Ah, the DJ is surely spinning old records that will surely fulfill anyone's likings over at DJ Oldgames. Most recent on their playlist is Normality, a first person adventure/puzzle game. I remember my brother played that one alot and it rocks!! Kind of like Dogday, a similar type of game. Both are highly recommended.
Mr Oldgames takes you back to the year of our lord, 1908, to test wether or not you got what it takes to construct cars. More spesifically in Detroit, a game from Dynamix. I remember it was quite hard to get any of the cars to sell, and I have yet to complete a month without red numbers in the budget : (. Well, I guess not everyone liked my idea of a hybrid truck/family sedan back in the day, but hey, at least it had 4 wheels!
I've said it before, and I'll do it again, Oldschool Computer always enlightens with their updates. In their most recent updates we find Power Blade 1 and 2 and Raid 2020, all for the NES. Never heard of any of them, but according to Mobygames Power Blade looks like of a somewhat Metal Gear meets Mega Man type of game, and Raid 2020 (with a mobyrating of 1.0 I might add), surely does look like most Color Dreams put out back in the day. They sucked! : )
Liso and his Starinky is always a pleasure to visit, mostly because they add games you've most probably never heard of, and be surprised of what you missed out on. Dating back from 1st of March, their updates include "Z", "Star Mines 2 - The Planet of Mines" and "Boston Bomb Club". The last one looks like something out of Oil/Pipe dream, a game where you have to direct a flow of oil from start to finish by adding pieces of pipe inbetween. It's more entertaining that it sounds!
In the World of Abandonware we're headed for adventure with an awkward looking guy with a caps in one of NES' most memorable games, Adventure Island! I remember playing that one alot, riding different dinosaurs through levels. Great fun. Too bad it got pretty difficult after a while, but still a very memorable game from the classic company Hudson Soft nevertheless (a company that still exists btw).
That's that for this weekend's update. Stay tuned for more soon!
