12th of September edit: Added some more updates to the existing ones, the previous list was a tad short. No new news yet folks

Phew, back at last! Some weird meanlooking pirate came knocking my door down the other day, hunting rum like mad. Appearently his stock had run low, wabbling something about a Wibbly. I should've taken the hint once he was looking for those overseas rum companies. Anyways, update time like in the regular days.

First of all, great and splendid news. Da Fast Lane seems to have joined in on the update push! Neopickaze, or should we say Slight, has now successfully restored a recent backup of the site, meaning that DFL is back on track again! Guys, this almost as big as it gets. If you for some reason do not know what Da Fast Lane is, let me put it to you short: One of the most meaningful and delightful meeting places for all sceners in this community, with an extensive library of the sites that exists or existed, with thoughts, comments and articles around the theme we all adhere to: The Good Old Days. Register your account with them today, you won't regret it. Oh, and their new adress is: http://www.dafastlane.org. Update your bookmarks everyone!

We over at The DOS Spirit gave you a slight taste of what the spice of video incorporated on a webpage feel like. This have been made possible by services like Google Video, Metacafê and YouTube to mention a few. Nostalgia in video format is something that should open an eye or two. Take a look, I bet you'll be surprised about how well it performs. :)

Sadly, at time of update, I couldn't get the site Gobliiins Old Games up. Appearently there's a slight furk-up there, but I bet it'll be sorted out rather quickly. Anyways, they've updated 4 new games according to my info, we'll all just have to wait and see what they pack this update with!

Old Games For You added Little Worm this time around. It seems like some sort of adventure "click-and-point" game, but I'm really not sure. Slovakian is not my strong side, and neither is this game. Haven't heard of it, to be honest. Anyhow, might be worth checking out.

Lastly, Reloaded have dug up Tower Defense and added it to the site. It can best be described as a base-defence game where you protect your base against endless hordes of bloodthirsty attackers, according to the Reloaded guys.

Right, time for some sleep. You enjoy the sites now, and hopefully Lone Lee will be around to give you another updatefix soon.

Tales from the tale

Hello? Anyone there? Is this microphone on?

Ok.

Me Wibbly, me do update.

Woodbeard thought Wibbly had taken rum - so I ran and came here instead. Me think me is safe for now.

bakkelun had also a visit from Capt'n Woodbeard, asking lot of questions. Biiig trouble, about rum. Capt'n not like rum storage empty, Woodbeard mad. They run, after each other, me do update and hope that they ok be.

Abandonia add 7 Colors a maze puzzle game, and Dark Seed II, a horror adventure game with wicked graphics. Wibbly too scared to play scary games, they make me wake at night.

Gobliiins Old Games add lot of games. Brett Hull Hockey '95, Challenge of the Ancient Empries, Xenon and Chopper Duel.

Reloaded gives us MegaMek today, a turn-based strategy game with big mechanical robots. Robots are funny, they look like bunnies in kevlar.

That for update now, me have to find bakkelun and my captain, I fear big commotion. Alcohol makes people do stupid things, and me not like rum. Adventure soda is more my taste, it makes my feet tingle!

Happy weekend, yes you. Oh, and see this one, honor to abandonware.

(What is this funny button? Me push)

*boom*

Another fine day for an update. Captain Woodbeard gave me a call today, saying that he's currently looking for overseas companies that trade "XXX"-labeled rum in large quantities. Whatever that means..

As for updates, there's a few going around.

Abandonia added Mines of Titan, an adventure game in the real true meaning of Old school where you're stranded on Saturn's moon Titan. You have one chance to get off the ice cube and find a lost city. This game is a celebration to their site gnome's birthday. Happy B-day you!

In honor to our "REALLY OLD week", we at The DOS Spirit added Prehistorik where you play as a neanderthal bonking dinosaurs with your club and collecting food to please his stomach.

Gobliiins Old Games packs this update with two new titles; Test Drive and Crazy Cars, both very classic indeed. If you're in the driving mood, this is a sure treat.

Holyfile added, it seems, DevastationZone Troopers and Dream Match Tennis Pro, where the first being you control a quake-like guy shooting your way against a Rakkai Empire who's invading the planet Ardanis. The second seems to be a tennis emulator. Go figure. The graphics in both looks wicked, so check that out.

The nice-smelling guys over at Reloaded have Captain Comic II: Fractured Reality in this push. A true Apogee-ish game where you once again control the Hero of the galaxy to save a planet after he saved the priceless Crown Jewels on Omsoc in "Adventures of Captain Comic". I'll say as they do: "Dun dun dun", this is a game every hardcore retro guy should check out.

That's that for today's update. Check back later for some more goodie-ness. Hey who are you..?

To be continued...
