I've been looking forward to the new game Gun for some time now. I loved Outlaws, and I like western movies - so I thought it would be another great game. Unfortunately, Gun is nothing like Outlaws (Is Outlaws abandonware btw?, I don't think LucasArts has sold it for years...). Gun is a lousy FPS plain and simple - they seem to be trying to make some hybrid FPS like Max Payne, but didn't put much work into it. So bad gameplay would equal great graphics and sound right? Wrong, the graphics in Gun are rough and I really don't think much work was put into them. The sound and music is even worse - it's better to play it on mute. Bottom line - pass up Gun and just load up a copy of Outlaws.

The second game I've been looking forward to for awhile now is Shadowgrounds. I'm not sure what to qualify it as... some sort of Action/RTS hybrid played in the third person. You control a mechanic/soldier at a space station on a planet that has become infested by monsters. The gameplay, graphics, and sound are all amazing and I would highly recommend that you try the game. Unforunately, it became stale for me as I just don't care about blasting away waves of monsters in the third person... but if thats your sort of thing I really think you will enjoy it.

A little update now on the Demu/Abandonware Ring code progress. Funds have been escrowed so work can now begin on Demu's updates which will include a joint forum for both Demu and AR. As soon as the Demu updates are done I will be offering jobs to the Designer & Coder to come over here and give us a long needed update.
