Abandonware Ring Community Fund

Today we have launched the Abandonware Ring Community Fund (ARCF)!

This initiative has been created to help financially support the movement and is available to all of our member sites.

We are pledging $1,000 per month to help webmasters cover costs related to running their sites, ranging from hosting fees to domain renewals. We understand that for many years webmasters have self-funded the preservation of old software, and now we feel as though it's time that all that hard work is rewarded.

We consider this to be a form of renumeration, and so are distributing the funds across all of our family. To be eligible, the only criteria is a membership at tAR.

If you're a webmaster and require help with your on-going costs, please reach out to us. Payments are sent monthly, and we have already begun distributing funds to member sites.

Viva Abandonware!

Welcome My Abandonware to tAR!

Over the years we have seen "the throne" passed between Abandonware sites that have come and gone. The largest have always had a partnership with tAR, from XTC to Computer Emuzone -and that's something which continues today...

HOTU was the first, back in 1998. Sarinee created THE go-to place for classic games (for years we thought she was a guy)! A massive library and bustling forum kept numbers stable.

Then came Abandonia in 2003. Darkmoons Legacy News #903 announced their arrival, and it can't be denied that Kosta's creation was a serious force to contend with.

Now, in 2025, undoubtedly the crown rests on the head of My Abandonware.A revival of the original oldware.net site, My Abandonware is now home to over 33k games! Yes, 33,000 classic titles are available for viewing on their cleanly designed website.

We welcome back our old friends and recommend everyone check them out - if you haven't already of course!

Computer Emuzone & OK Games

With Computer Emuzone being one of our oldest family members, it was great hearing from Keplini after so long and receiving CEs continued support. 🙏The dedication shown towards the upkeep of what is probably the largest and oldest Spanish audience Abandonware site is just amazing!

In other news I must point out that there appear to be a few issues with ISPs serving OK Games! right now. My VPN didn't load the site, but turned off it was fine. I've spoken with the guys about it, and can confirm the site is alive, pumping content, and working hard on updates so check them out.
