A collection of our news articles and updates, spanning over 20 years!
Mkay. New mail arrived today (you know, the non-electronic one )
And in it was ISOS 7 .
Great CD with lots of good songs on it.
Well on with the news
Our friends at Computer Emuzone added two new GP2X games: Mad Mix and Spirits. Don't know the games, but I'll bet they're good :)
DJ Oldgames has added Supaplex on their site, a pretty darn good Boulderdash clone.
Starinkyadded Zak McKracken. I guess no need to tell more 'bout that one...
The guys at OldSkool added some SEGA Mega Drive game Zero Wing. I've got a feeling it has something to do with flying...
And last but not least I myself at xtcabandonware added Sidewinder, an old top down shooter.
That's all folks!
cya
New day, new updates .
(Only) 5 updates tonight.
I don't know what happened at the torrent site. Nothing special to see, but maybe there some new game torrents?
The Italian guys at Computer Emuzone added several game cards, e.g. JINJ for the Spectrum.
FreeGamesBlog added some info about Last Ninja 2. Love that musik!
Another Ninja game was added by Oldschool Computer which listens to the name: Mystical Ninja.
And last but not least, I myself added at XTCabandonware The Big Red Adventure, some game from 1995 which is around 60MB unpacked.
c yaaaaaaaaa.
Righty'o sailors, tharr be updates around me smells.
Abandonia gives us The Punisher, a 3rd person action shooter with a tad of mystery to it too.
Computer Emuzone wants to tell everyone they've added a new management system for their games list. The layout of all their games now resembles a game card with structurized info about the game reviewed. This, they say, means that they'll update nearly daily. Wohay!
Cosmic Stream of Life or CSOL, let's us know that they've changed to dedicated hosting and things should be back to normal. Such news is always good news.
Noodan is back with updates, however their site was unavailable for access at the time of writing so we couldn't see what's new. We bet it's something tasty.
Oldschool Computer gives us neat small packages in the form of ROM-files for the NES and SNES with Rad Racer 1 and 2 plus Super Mario All Stars (!!!) and Super Mario RPG. Oscomp.hu is starting to become very attractive for anyone looking for games for their emulators. Good work webmaster!
The DOS Spirit is finally back with some updates. This time around it's a pretty obscure title known as "Below the Root" that's up for inspection. It's a side-scrolling adventure puzzle game that takes place after the "Green Sky"-triology by Zilpha Keatley Snyder from the late 70s. It's a multi-layered adventure that was groundbreaking for its time, offering players, then, the largest game universe ever known!
My always neat-smelling, goodlooking friend Latis and his XTC Abandonware sure is busy. Not only did they update the design some time back, but Latis is on an updating frenzy like no other! This time he wants us to look at his skills in the gameplay video for Aladdin and trim our IQ with a puzzle game called Never Mind. Also updated is XTC's Youtube channel with more retro goodieness.
That's that for the updates so far. On a different note, I would like to direct our users to the forums, to a spesific thread by our esteemed valued scene member Starlord that loves to seek out games noone has ever heard of. This time, he's been in contact with Microsoft asking them to port the Xbox 360 exclusive space-sim game Project Sylpheed to the PC. For this to become a reality, he needs your help. Read the thread and sign the on-going petition to make this port a reality!!

Righty'o, that were the important messages so far. Hope you've had a pleasant weekend, and stay tuned for more updates here on the AWring.
Until next time, tada!
