A collection of our news articles and updates, spanning over 20 years!
I'm doing some maintenance here today, some of it regarding the forums but most of it is about the members. Unfortunately some of our members went offline recently without much notice, and I'm removing those that disappeared for any reason. I'm also suspending some members that refuse to link back... these are hard to understand. Is it really so painful to link to the Abandonware Ring, taking into account the support we've been giving to the community out there all these years?
Our forums are being heavily spammed and we're having trouble fixing that, me and Bakkelun are still figuring out the best way to solve the situation.
Anyway, among our updaters today I'd like to highlight the Abandonware Blog. Today's update wasn't so important, but Muaddib chose a new Wordpress template and redesigned his site with it.
Now back to maintenance room!
Today another application was refused. Only this time the site did link back to us... the problem is that the site is not really related to abandonware, although they offered some simple games online for users to play. Indeed the site has quality and I hope they keep up their good work, but until they actually have any focus on abandonware, they don't belong here. Sorry fellas.
Among our updaters today, I'd like to highlight Abandonia's latest gem... or rather... well, I never played Battle wrath, but reviewer Guesst regards it as one of the worst games ever designed and a total waste of time. Way to attract users!
I see Captain Bakkelun has been taking good care of you guys lately. My turn though!
Today once again I refused applications because they didn't link back to us... only this time it was no less than four refused applications. Of four bold lovers of abandonware, none was capable of reading our rules of membership. Not that I'm not used to it.
Among our updates, I'd like to highlight the fact that only three sites updated in the last 24 hours! That's too little!
Abandonia added three new racing games, not my favorite genre (specially in PCs, although there's always GTA, Driver, NFS and that old kart game from Apogee I don't remember the name to prove me wrong.)
Abandonia Reloaded added Saboteur 95, a ninja game.
GOG added Space Hulk which I remember playing years ago but never getting too hooked to anyway.
How do you like the new Adventure Quest ads? Animated they look kinda cool!
