Hi, since there're no site updates today, let's discuss about some of the things going on behind the scene at The Abandonware Ring.

There has been a lot of talk lately on the status of the abandonware scene. Is it dead? Is it sleeping? Will it ever return to the glory days? I can probably answer that last one myself and say no.

We wish we had had 20 sites updating everyday but that's never going to happen. But, if we really want to push some kind of signal to other webmasters, it has to start with the one ring to rule them all.

This site has been pretty much the same, in terms of design and coding, for the past 20 years or so. Every year people want to redesign, remake, or change the design/code of the site but it never happens. This is why we created a Discord server. We're looking for ideas, we're looking for help and we're looking for people to participate.
