Hmmm.... updates.
First off, let's all welcome our newest member, Gosfish Games! I believe I recall visiting this site a bit in the past... only was it definitely bigger? And I think their packages used to be password-protected to scare off file leechers. I think. Certainly not anymore. Who's to say it's the same site anyway? I might just be the voices inside my head.
There are still applications pending. I e-mailed the webmasters to see if they like the idea of linking back to us. And I...
- Abandon seems to have added something, god knows what.
- Abandoneer tried to bribe users with X-COM: terror from the deep. I know *I* would accept such bribe!
- AbandonFreedom (or is it x606x? webmaster, e-mail me if you need change) added five new games.
- Abandonia went out of its way to bring a Windows XP-compatible version of Heroes of might and magic. Jesus... 'tis a blessing, I think... although I can help thinking each of these WinXP builds further buries DOS.
- Abandonia Reloaded added The family treasure, yet another adventure game. Have you noticed they have way far more adventure games than any other genre over there? Probably because there are lots of good programs available nowadays for adventure creation.
Also have you noticed they think GTA is a "racing" game? ;-D - To finish today's update, Joe got completely insane and added over 15 new games today. Freak.
Phew... done.
I wanted to update on March 23rd night, but time passed faster than I could notice, and it's already March 24th, 6:57AM. Why sleep?
Why we have a new member! The site's still small, let's hope it grows fast so we can rape their brand new unlimited download server! All welcome Abandon.
Besides Abandon, there are other three membership applications pending, but none of them links back to us. So please dear webmaster: fix that and I can add you here. Otherwise I'm gonna have to exorcise you...
- A Force for Good reviewed Quest for glory; I don't know, it looks like a VGA version I never played.
- Abandoneer added DOSShell, a DOSBox frontend.
- Abandonia added Thomas and friends, obscure game.
- Abandonware Utopia seems to have added around seven new games.
- Bunny added so much content I'm not relating it here. It's a revolution! (Good revolution).
- Da Fast Lane noticed phib's good-bye-update on Ancient Amusements. Yeah, phib says he's leaving the scene, which is pretty sad, another long-timer out. I find it hard to believe someone can completely turn its back to the scene after being that active. I know he'll visit the sites here and there again, from time to time. Or maybe that's just what I'd like to believe in.
- HolyFile added a bunch of new files, games, programs and more.
- Joe Games added another truckload of games... making over 400 games so far. Crazy.
- Noodan added two new games.
- And The House of Games added the super-obscure adventure The fabulous Wanda and the secret of life, the universe and everything.
7:27AM. Time to get some work done.
Quickly now:
I'm running tests on recording video and audio from DOSBox on Abandoneer, visit to see how it worked out.
Abandonia added two new (old) games, Pinball World and Action fighter. Reloaded added Cookie.
House of Games added a horror RPG, Don't go alone -- and I love horror games.
HolyFile added Dark Legions and the great Albion.
Abandoned Gamesroom updated their Laura Bow package and added Mixed up mother goose deluxe. Weird concept.
Joe added another bunch of games.
