Legacy News #1991

Being a huge classic-gamer as I am, I've always been at the same time skeptical and hopeful about new games made out of old titles, but the big developers have been improving more and more at that lately. One game I had huge expectations about was Fallout 3, Played it through and, although a very short main quest, I think it's the right beginning for future installments in the world of 3D gaming, so I was generally satisfied.

Some other games like Civilization 4 and SimCity 3000 in my opinion went so far as to completely replace their DOS counterparts (which I think is a great feat indeed). This kind of thing renewed my faith in game developers after year 2000.

One other game that did this to me, was Sid Meier's Pirates!, the new one. It's a great game in its own right, it completely replaced the 80s/90s version of the game, and I'm leaving now to play it yet again.

My God, it's '09 already!

We have lots of updates, even better nine of them if I count correctly. We had a new applicant who was denied thanks to not linking back to us.

The tenth site listed is, tarararam.... a new member! This site's got some serious old Windows stuff. For those of you who actually run not only old games but an old operating system, all welcome Some Files!

That's it, back to work (yes on sunday).
