To start the update off we have one new member, Noodan Free Games this is an interesting site as they only offer freeware. The majority of the titles are ones I have not seen offered in the community before.
Updates have also been posted for: Abandonia which has added The Patrician, and Death Gate (posted yesterday, but their update notice came in after my update). Abandoneer has added Ultima VI. The House of Games has added Populous, which is one of my favorites.
Like most of you I don't just play classic games, I also play plenty of the new titles. The game taking most of my time away from me right now is SWAT 4. Now I must say, I enjoyed the previous (the classic!) SWAT games more than this one, I really loved all the strategy and tactics. But for a FPS the game is very focused on delivering a real approach to the policies and procedures that SWAT teams follow. If you haven't played the SWAT line of games yet I would highly recommend trying to get your hands on all of them.
First update of the month - and right on time for a change. I just finished my "work week" so I have the next 5 days off to work on various projects. And I'm not the only one getting to work we have the following additions/updates.
We have two new sites in our community. The first is Mark Gunther . Com which hosts several well known classic games that are getting a little hard to find. The second, which I thought for sure was already a membe because I visit them often (but they haven't been until now) is C:DOS Community a really fun site to hang out on.
I'm not going to list all of the updates here today because there are so many. Browse through the links above to find out whats new.
Plenty of updates for you today! Abandonia has added Deadline, and Hook from yesterday. Abandonline has added Quarantine. Classic Gaming Archive has added The House of the Dead 2, and finally Abandoneer has added Ultima IV.
It's about 9 PM Central right now and I just woke up ~10 minutes ago. Working overnights will really screw up your schedule. I've been playing Sim City online at work lately, as I don't have the permission level to install software on the computers. Sim City online is run/hosted by Electronic Arts and it's OK if you can't play the regular version. They really leave out a lot of the details and it can run fairly slow. I need to start borrowing my girlfriends laptop to load up with games to play at work
