I've been playing around with Elder Scrolls Oblivion the last few days. But it's so hard to get out from the hold Warcraft has on me. I keep selling items, and buying new items in Oblivion... but then I just sit there and think how I won't get to keep any of my progresss a few weeks from now when I'm no longer playing Oblivion. Sure Warcraft will eventually be shut down (years from now?)... but at least you continually build upon what you've already accomplished.

What game publishers should be doing, is giving some reward to people who have already beat earlier games (some console games do this). So if I say, have beaten Call of Duty, when I play Call of Duty 2 I should start out with a better weapon. I don't think it will be enough by it's self to get me out of Warcraft, but it wouldn't hurt.
