In case you haven't already heard; Gary Gygax, the great great great grandfather of everything you know about roleplaying today has passed away. He's the mastermind that later gave daylight to great universes like Dungeons & Dragons. You know, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and The Elder Scrolls series to mention a few.

To put things in perspective: You would never have been playing Nethack, Eye of Beholder, Rogue or Might and Magic and your level 70 World of Warcraft character would be a mere thought without Gary. Heck, they would never have existed! The success of for instance World of Warcraft has EVERYTHING to thank this genius.
