More sad news lately in the gaming world. What's left of 3D Realms is being sued by Take Two now for not delivering Duke Nukem Forever. While I'm a big 3D Realms/Apogee fan - I almost wonder if it would be better if they lost the code for DNF since they can't seem to complete their projects?

Also, a popular flight simulation website Avsim which first launched in 1996 has been destroyed by a hacker. The person(s) not only destroyed both their servers so all of the backups have been lost. No one will ever know how many user created mods have been forever lost because the only copy left for some of these older flight sims was on their server. An important lesson on how important off-site backups are.
