Thank god it's sunday: a lot of time to update an abandonware site!
Today we welcome Abandonware Oldware back aboard, now with an english version of the site as well! That's great news for anyone that doesn't speak french, as Oldware is one of the major selections available to date.
Right, then we have a new applicant. I'm not adding it just now -- it's a cool site, with great design, but I'm trying to contact the webmaster to solve some pending details.
EDIT: All welcome Just Free Game...

Whoa! Only three votes in favor of LD and Swizzle keeping their boring updates here at the Abandonware Ring (probably their own votes plus someone who was distracted and voted by mistake). Thirteen-thousand-sixty-five votes for me firing them instead, which is a reasonable sum (99.98469% of all voters).
Based on these results, I can safely say they're no longer needed -- according to the people's will, of course. But taking their long-term contributions to the site into account, I won't be firing them as asked by everyone. Instead, I'll be trying to talk them into quietly leaving their updates to me, people won't even notice the change, and after all, somebody still got to do the laundry and clean the restroom here at the office every now and then, so they will never be totally useless to the community.
This is it peopl , love you all!
My internet is going in and out today... hopefully they are working on the lines and the disruptions will be done by the time I wake up. Not that there is much to come online for, as our members seem to have gotten very lazy and are no longer updating daily. What happended to 10+ updated sites everyday? Don't worry - I will find out what happended and bring the updates back.
A late update in the early morning hours of 9/3 for the 2nd. I'm really overloaded right now with work so I'm barely online, and won't be around really for a few more days.
I am pretty happy though because for a long time now I've been trying to find an application to burn multiple movie files nto DVD discs. I finally found an application which doesn't suck - Sonic MyDVD Studio Deluxe Suite - not only does it include the DVD tools it also includes Record Now which is a great, simple, CD/DVD creation application. I think I paid $75 a year ago just for Record Now, and I was able to get this entire suite for about $50 second-hand. Let the archiving of Mystery Science Theater 3000 begin!
