Wow, webmasters have been very busy this morning to bring you some great classics. Old School DOS Games has added Pinball Dreams. The House of Games has added Indianapolis 500. Abandoned Gamesroom has added another Sierra game. The Thing has added Frogger. Demu has added 57 new games (most notably all of the Infocom text adventures). Stare gry na PC / Old PC Games has updated with some new content. Abandonia has added Deja Vu. Noodan Free Games has added Total Sokoban. Finally, Abando...
Demu is almost out of beta. We have fixed the account activation issues, download issues, and I'm working on getting the forum design updated and intergrated into Demu. If you've been putting off making an account until the beta is over, you should be good to go now.
Webmasters have been very busy today as we have a total of six updates. Abandonline has added Ant Run. The Thing has added a review for Desert Strike. Abandonia has added Dungeon Master. Noodan Free Games has added Project Yiff-X. Finally, Abandoned Gamesroom has updated.
I was able to fix the account activation problems on Demu much faster then I expected. I also decided that I would eliminate the account activation feature as it's currently not needed. So the site is open again - please keep those bug reports coming.
Today we had updates from Old School DOS Games which added Heartlight. Lostgames has added thirteen new games. Da Fast Lane added some new content, and finally Noodan Free Games has added Alien Gunner.
My abandonware/emulation website Demu has finally returned (available above). The site is currently in what I am calling a beta because the programmer still needs to finish a few features and fix some bugs. The site is completely useable in it's current form however, so don't hesitate to check it out.
What makes Demu very special this time around is that it is much like Wikipedia. Users of the site can add/edit content, so you will ultimately determine what the sites goal is (quality over quantity, emulation over abandonwre, etc.). I will be very involved n the content, but I'm hoping end users will contribue and really help shape the community. In addition to the control over content, users are also able to post comments, reviews, and interact in many other ways.
To start everyone off I've added approximately 1,900 games and 700 documents. The majority of them have descriptions, game information, and screenshots. The site has a wide variety of console roms available for download. Please post your comments and suggestions!
