Legacy News #1223

Swizzle is really in an updating mood, but hey, I'm still alive! I'm currently working on the next version of CGA which should be released somewhere in August-September this year.

Today we have two updated sites so far, first of all The House of Games has a new MS-DOS game called 'ZZT', the other site is Noodan Games they have added three new games one of them is some kind of Space Invaders clone. Have fun and see you later!

Legacy News #1224

The usuals are updating again today: Noodan Free Games added Jarcadians. Abandoneer has added Golden Axe. Abandonia has added Platoon.

The ESRB has changed GTA: San Andreas from a "M" to an "AO" which is probably where it belonged in the first place. Rockstart is offering stickers to re-label the games to any companies who want to still sell it (as far as I know they are all pulling it) but are working to release a "new" version that will still have a "M" rating for traditional retail channels.

So let me get this straight... Rockstar wiggles around the ESRB and keeps this content on the disc. According to rumors on many sites, Rockstar leaked the information for the mod to the modding community... They now get all of this free press (and a small drop in their stock value) about the game and how "bad" it is. What I see happening next is that they will release the new "M" version for stores and see an increase in sales because every teenager will want to own such a "bad" game. For those who want the original, Rockstar, will sell the "AO" or what they will call the "Limited Uncensored Edition" for $69.95 directly on their website. In the end their stock will rise significantly and all of them get free ponies.

Oh, and since Res mentioned CGA. I better let you know Demu had a large code update earlier in the week - and we are currently planning on a second large update this weekend. If all goes according to plan (the code updates do not add any bugs) we can hopefully open to the public early next week.

Legacy News #1222

The following sites have updated so far today: Abandonia > has added Champion of the Raj. Noodan Free Games has added Alien Invasion. Abandoneer has added the application Visual Basic. I also received an e-mail from a visitor informing me that Home of the Underdogs has finally updated again, adding another seventy new games. I have no idea where they keep getting them from - they seem to have every classic game I could ever dream of. (Note: We have not yet received an update notice from...
