To update upon the earlier post today, I've upgraded MySQL to 4.0.8 (gamma) and instituted a connection limit per MySQL user account. As such, the AG forum (or any other high mysql load site on the Depot Network server) will not be able to single-handedly take down mysqld.

We are not exactly sure what happended yesterday. The morning was all MySQL errors, and we restarted MySQL. Then everything seemed to be fine until the server was totally unreachable, but would still ping. A few tries later we were forced to reboot the server and then we had 403 errors until earlier this morning. Whatever it was it seems to be over.

The server has been acting particularly weird (as you have all noticed, no doubt) and the server required a reboot yesterday for the first time in a year. For whatever reason the httpd (apache) has been going wild and eating up wild amounts of CPU for reasons I'm presently looking into. As such the web availability may yo-yo for a bit until I fix the problem. MySQL, FTP, ssh, and the rest of the services should remain available.
