Originating way back in 1997, Amiga Paradise is a haven for music scores focusing on the Commodore Amiga systems.
Mantalow, a good friend of ours, whose passion is unrivalled in his category, has been working hard to get the website back online - and now, in 2025, he's done just that!
The website offers over 6,000 music files which can both be streamed directly from within your browser, and also downloaded as entire collections via zipped files. These are all recorded and compressed as .MP3 files by Mantalow himself, so the hours put into this project are evidence of love of the movement.
A unique and cool feature is the ability to create your own playlists. Mine currently includes Lemmings Song 02 and 04, which are absolute bangers!! Infact, I'm listening to them now while I write this post!
We are also proud to say that tAR have sponsored the rebirth of this amazing site via our Abandonware Ring Community Fund, something that is available to all of our family members.
Taken from the Amiga Paradise FAQ: "AmigaParadise is a community-driven platform dedicated to preserving and sharing the musical heritage of the Commodore Amiga. Our mission is to provide free access to a vast collection of Amiga music, ensuring that this rich cultural legacy is accessible to all. Everything on the site is available for free and will remain so forever."
Now go get yourself over to Mantalow's site and sign up!
We’re happy to announce a new addition to the Abandonware Ring: the “Funded” badge! This isn’t just a shiny icon—it’s a mark that shows which member sites have received a helping hand from The Abandonware Ring’s own community fund.
Why did we start this? Simple: running a classic gaming site can get expensive, and sometimes our members need a little financial boost to keep things going. When we see a member site that needs help, we step in with direct support from our fund. Once a site is backed, they get the “Funded” badge so everyone knows they’ve got a bit of extra love from us.
It’s our way of making sure the best parts of the community stick around and thrive, even when times get tough. If you see that badge, you’ll know that site is getting the support it needs to keep bringing classic games, resources, and nostalgia to everyone.
Thanks for being part of the Ring and for helping keep abandonware alive and well!
This isn’t a post we wanted to make, but it’s time to be honest with everyone. After a lot of discussion, we’ve decided to suspend both Abandonia and Reloaded from the Abandonware Ring.
Here’s the reality: Abandonia was once a legendary spot for anyone hunting down classic games and lost gems. But these days, it’s a shadow of its former self. When you visit, you’re hit with a wall of casino ads, pages that barely load, and error messages everywhere you turn. The games—the whole point of the site—just don’t work anymore. We’re actually worried about the safety of our users at this point. It doesn’t feel right to send someone there, especially new folks who might think they’ll find the games they want, only to end up on a site overrun with ads.
It’s not just the technical mess, either. There’s been no sign of updates, care, or even basic moderation from the current owner. We’ve even reached out directly to offer help, but our messages have been ignored. We owe it to the community to protect everyone from spammy ads, dead links, and disappointment.
We’re not closing the door forever—if things turn around, we’d love to welcome them back. But for now, we’re stepping back.
Thanks for sticking with us and for keeping the real spirit of abandonware alive.
